What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

A Brazilian Butt Lift is a surgical procedure in which natural fat is used to augment the buttocks. It uses the patient’s own natural fat, giving it an advantage over other types of butt augmentation surgical procedures.

How is a Brazilian Butt Lift Performed

After consulting with Dr. Robbins to determine you are a good candidate for the Brazilian Butt Lift, the doctor will proceed to determine the proper region to remove the fat that will be used to augment your buttocks. This is often in the love handles or thighs.

The fat is removed with a small liposuction device. After the fat is suctioned from the appropriate region, it is purified in a centrifuge to extract only high-quality fat. The purified fat is injected into the buttocks in a manner as to produce the proper results.

The doctor will, generally, ask you to refrain from physical activity for a 24- to 48-hour period of time. Very little pain, if any, should be associated with the procedure. Only minor irritation for a short period of time should result.
